Worlds First Nintendo Switch USB-C to HDMI Out Dongle is Now On Kickstarter

That didn’t take long. A lot of people would like alternatives to the current $90 investment it takes to get a second, third, or even 4th docking option for their Nintendo Switch. People love having something more portable, or even just generally a more flexible option under different setup circumstances. Nyko is already releasing their own “mini” dock for about $45, but it still requires that essential aspect of docking the system, rather than having an option that lets your Switch be in a more… comfortable looking situation.

Enter this bad boy:

It’s also cool because it works with a Galaxy S8 and yes, it can charge your system, which also enables full TV mode. This is basically a portable Switch dongle, something many folks want. Now the project itself is already funded, but they are retailing through kickstarter for a cool $69. While not cheap, USB type C to HDMI out with power input plus 4 USB 3.0 ports is… not even cheap for the PC market, typically running $100.

The only thing it is missing is a native ethernet port, but who knows what sort of engineering would have needed to be done for that. Either way, in a portable state, this dongle makes a ton of sense. You can get your own here.
