Tekken 7 Producer “Surprised” by Switch, Says “Read Into That What You Like”

Tekken 7 will be hitting home consoles next year, but it’s already been out in arcades for some time. It is planned to release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Of course, the Nintendo Switch has only recently been announced, so bringing the game to that platform, or at least committing to doing so, isn’t something many already in progress (or in this case, having already hit arcades) would be considering.

However, Tekken 7 producer Katsuhiro Harada was asked directly about unveiling a Switch version of the game in an interview with GameSpot. Here is what he had to say:

So, no Nintendo Switch version to reveal?

Harada: We’re quite surprised by the Nintendo Switch announcement; read into that what you like.

In other words, he’s not outright saying the Nintendo Switch won’t get the game, but he is refusing to confirm it will either. Chances are if it were to happen, it would be a surprise kept under wraps for January 12th or possibly E3 2017.
