Switch Has Officially Blown By Wii U, Mario Odyssey Over 9 Million – BIG SALES UPDATE

To say the Nintendo Switch did well in 2017 may be the understatement of the year so far. Early this morning Nintendo held their quarterly financial briefing with investors and like every prior meeting, we got a huge sales update for Switch and it’s associated games. In the video above I painstakingly go through all the data, but for those who don’t have time for the video, I’ll include a gallery of images showing sales updates for Switch and Switch titles below.

Some fun facts:

  • Mario Odyssey sold over 9 million units last year, which makes it a better selling title than any Wii U game.
  • Breath of the Wild is now the 2nd best selling Zelda game in history, moving 7.78 million units if you combine Wii U and Switch sales. It trails only Twilight Princess.
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is only 1 mil...

Random: Lil Yachty and Logic Playing Mario Kart 8 While on Stage

In the middle of a performance, Lil Yachty and Logic decide that they want to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch. They are also using the Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers for this match. I have so much admiration for these guys to actually play a game while they are performing. If you’re ever at a concert, then its okay for the band or singer to take out a Nintendo Switch and play some games. Just look at how excited the audience is to watch them play.

Switch is Being Restocked This Friday at GameStop, Best Buy, & Target

With Splatoon 2 releasing this Friday, Nintendo is making sure major retail outlets have some stock of Nintendo Switch for the launch. Of course, we don’t know how many units each will have, but they are all included in this weeks ads, suggesting it could be a fair amount of them. We all love bundles, right? These bundles offer no monetary advantage, but if you planned to pick up all of this stuff anyways it might be worth a purchase. Here are the bundles:
