We all know a new Mario game was unveiled during the Nintendo Switch reveal. Whether or not that particular footage is from the game itself or just some doctored stuff made for commercial purposes is unknown. However, Nintendo is always working on new Mario games and given how far back 3D World came out, it’s really not a surprise a new 3D style Mario game is currently in the works for Nintendo Switch.

Emily Rogers has a fairly clean record so far with her Nintendo Switch “rumors”, and while she isn’t promising that Mario will be there day one, she apparently has heard that the game is practically done. Here are her words:

Obviously, take this for what you will. To me, the more interesting aspect is the dedication this game may have on exploration, something you can argue hasn’t been a huge emphasis since Mario Sunshine and Mario 64.

What do you think?
