Rocket League Switch Has Cross-Play With Xbox and PC – Sony Wouldn’t Allow It on PS4

Sony might have something against cross-play with competing systems it appears. First we learned that Xbox, PC, and Switch would have cross-play with Minecraft, and now we learned that Rocket League will also have it… with the PlayStation 4 and Sony choosing not to participate. No official reasoning has been stated for why this is the case, but now we have a situation where two different developers are openly able to have cross play with Microsoft, PC, and Nintendo, with Sony refusing to join the party.

Maybe this will get addressed one day. Otherwise, rejoice Switch owners, you’ll have a larger player pool for your online goodness in Rocket League and Minecraft.
