Nyko Created a Portable Nintendo Switch Dock For Half the Cost of Nintendo’s Solution

The portability of the Switch is a great feature, until a player wants to take it somewhere to hook up to a TV and must find a way to pack up the Switch’s slightly bulky docking base. Nyko has created a portable docking kit for the Switch that takes care of this problem. The docking kit enables players to leave their Switch’s docking base at home when they are taking their Switch with them on an extended trip that would involve needing to dock into a TV that is not their home TV. The kit is available via Amazon, and the features can be found below:

  • Connect the Nintendo Switch to a TV without need to bring your dock with you
  • Power by a Type-C AC adapter (included)
  • Compact design
  • Enable TV mode on the Nintendo Switch
  • Includes an HDMI cable for connecting to any TV on the go

The kit releases on October 3, 2017. It is priced at $44.99 USD and includes free shipping. The Portable Nintendo Switch Docking Kit is currently available for preorder. Let us know if you will be picking up this item in the comment below and check out our image gallery.

That will never happen. The USB-C to HDMI output conversion chip necessary for that is at least that much.
