Nintendo has some big plans for the upcoming E3 2018 presentation, but one thing we had no idea about is what they were going to call the initial showing on June 12th. Over the years that have used the Nintendo Direct moniker and later called it a Digital Event. In 2016 it technically went “nameless” despite the fact they had a pre-recorded presentation for Breath of the Wild before Treehouse Live took over. Well, it appears they are going back to the Nintendo Direct moniker with a recent update to their E3 website:
Of course the are that shows the times doesn’t technically have a name for the event listed yet, but they appear set to return to their original branding when they stopped doing live shows back in 2013. Obviously the naming convention isn’t a huge deal, what matters is what is shown.
