Nintendo Switch Features a Fairly Fast Sleep Mode Option

Nintendo Switch does feature a sleep mode option, something that may have been a safe assumption but hasn’t been confirmed until now. The sleep mode is a simple action. Press the power button on the top left of the Switch unit and the system instantly goes to sleep (we assume holding the button is how you power the system down entirely). Pressing the power button again brings it out of sleep mode, though it seems to have a one second delay coming out of sleep mode versus entering sleep mode. You can also see once out of sleep mode, you’re not directly back in the the game, but rather in a sub menu like area asking if you’d like to continue the game. Here, have a look below. Simply fast forward to roughly the 8:40 mark:

Either way it’s fast, simple to grasp, and really easy to understand. This seems to be an ongoing theme so far with the entire premise of the Switch hardware.
