Nintendo Knew When Making Switch That the Joycons/Grip Looked Like a Dog


Was it intentional? We may never know, but when the Switch was in development the team behind it was well aware that the Joycons inside of the Joycon grip resembled the face of a dog. Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki told Koizumi about the resemblance to which he said that the look of a dog was exactly what the team was thinking when making it. Doesn’t that mean they intentionally made it look that way, or that it was more of a happy accident? Well, nothing was elaborated on beyond that.

It’s still neat to know that they already knew this reaction would exist, as sometimes tech companies can be caught off guard by consumer reactions.
