New ‘Tales Of’ Game Heading to Switch According to Bandai Namco

As a Tales of Symphonia fan, this news this morning really tickles my fancy. According to Bandai Namco, a ‘Tales Of’ game is heading to Nintendo Switch at some point in the future.

This is according a press release email where they mention the game is coming to Switch… and really nothing else. Given they are confirming it exists, it very well could be unveiled at E3 2017 (hard to believe I’m already talking about that seemingly far off event), and I do wonder why we would learn a new title is in the works through a press release email like this instead of waiting to do a proper reveal.

Either way, I’m excited, and while I don’t think a lot of the more recent titles in that series has worked, Tales of Symphonia definitely did, and I’m really hoping they take that sort of approach again.

  • Berseria worked. Xillia worked. Vesperia definitely worked.

No, Berseria and Xillia worked compared to Tales modern, lowered standards. Vesperia did work, but I consider ToV one of the good ol’ classics alongside TotA and ToS. I completely agree with you, Symphonia was just… words cannot describe how perfect this game is, from the OST to the story. It’s the best (J)RPG ever created. Heck, the best game even.
