Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has at least one point of sales data going in its favor. In the UK, Nintendo traditionally does not have their titles hit the #1 sales spot too often during it’s debut, with the last title to pull off that feat being Pokemon White on the Nintendo DS in 2011. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has now broken the streak and claimed the top spot in the UK according to an early report. Nintendo also was able to supply more Switch units for the territory for launch, leading to a 68% increase in Breath of the Wild sales for the week as well.
Here’s a look at the early UK charts for launch:
|Last Week||This Week||Title|
|New Entry||1||Mario Kart 8: Deluxe|
|New Entry||2||Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3|
|3||2||Grand Theft Auto V|
|New Entry||4||Little Nightmares|
