Is the Switch Lineup Good Enough? – Nintendo Prime Podcast Ep. 13 (Part 1)

The Nintendo Prime Podcast is back, this time with a brand new “daily” format. For now on, Monday through Friday, we will be releasing topic specific sections of the podcast in video format each day, with the final day containing the full audio podcast. This week we had a little flub with our video recording and audio settings, so the audio is not perfectly balanced, and the video itself is not in HD. However, these are minor issues as we transfer over to this new daily format, so we hope you enjoy and look forward to improvements in the future.

On today’s part 1 of our 13th episode, we go over the entire Switch lineup and discuss whether or not the lineup is good enough to have a successful first year or two on the market.

Nathanial Rumphol-Janc

A veteran in the video game media sphere, Nathanial co-founded Gamnesia, founded MetroidWiki.org, ran the news the segment on the Zelda Universe Podcast, found and ran Zelda Domain from 1998 to 2006, and built Zelda Informer as the Editor-in-Chief from 2008 to 2017. He now owns and operates Nintendo Prime. You can follow him on twitter @NateJanc, otherwise just stay tuned at Nintendo Prime for more of his work.

I think this lineup is good enough for 2017, but a steady flow with a large amount of promised hype must be sustained in future years. I forget the name of it, but the Microsoft and Monolith game you referenced is being considered to be brought over to the Switch (similarly like Seasons of Heaven). I think we will see more 3rd parties announce new games for the Switch as we progress through the year.
