While GameStop is no longer taking pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch (really, nowhere is), GameStop is promising that they will have at least some walk-in stock available day one, though the chance of that stock lasting past the midnight launch is highly unlikely. That’s because GameStop is not only making the units available at midnight for walk-ins, they are actively encouraging consumers to show up at midnight for them. Here is what GameStop said in a press release:

“Customers who were not able to pre-order the system are encouraged to attend GameStop’s midnight launch events.”

I definitely don’t see many making it past midnight into normal store hours. Beyond that, GameStop announced two new bundles they will release on their website for Switch at sometime in the future. Here is the rundown:

  • Bundle 1: Nintendo Switch + Switch Pro Controller + The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – $429.99
  • Bundle 2: Bundle 1 + Piggyback’s official guide to Breath of the Wild – $454.99

It should be noted these bundles are priced at exactly what everything in the bundle costs individually. These bundles are not currently available, but it’s at least an easy way post launch to get a bunch of stuff in one order that you might have been getting anyways.
