GameStop CEO Paul Raines talked a little bit about the Switch during an earnings call today. He had a chance to play the system earlier this year and he has a unique way to gauge interest in the system thanks to their member rewards program. He seems to have some rather positive remarks on both fronts.

“The Nintendo Switch, which I played at Nintendo a few weeks ago–we believe could be another game-changer that will expand the audience for gaming.”

He also went on to state that 25% of their reward members that are aware the Switch exists are interested in it, and that the overall numbers represents something very similar to the way the Xbox One was trending heading into launch. While the Xbox One did not have the same sort of pick up trend that the PlayStation 4 has had, it has still sold north of 20 million units over three years, which absolutely destroys the total sales for Wii U.
