Dorkly: Nintendo Franchises are Getting Too Dark

Do you like quality webcomics? I know I do. Dorkly consistently releases some of the very best out there for comedic purposes, though they possibly have created a much deeper meaning this time around. The comic is titled “Nintendo’s Franchises are Getting Way Too Dark”… and it feels extremely appropriate. Here, check out the comic for yourself:

  • Umad?

We haven’t even seen how much content 1, 2 switch has. Meanwhile, people paid 60 dollars for No Man Sky.

Also, free pack in? Gib me free gaem.

So many “Dark” Series and they still haven’t put out the series that’s known for being actually “Dark” Metroid….

  • Xan Nava

Was majoras mask not dark? what about donkey kong 64? Any of the metroid games? The only none dark games were on the wii u, which was there worst selling console…

    • Lord Lemmy

DK64 was dark??? What about it was dark? Plot revolves around apes fighting a crocodile that stole their bananas (again) with the addition of kidnapping some of them and a plot to blow up an island that’s in the shape of DK’s head. Not really “dark”. Very classic cartoony villain.
Not to mention, almost none of the Mario games got dark, the only ones were KIND of Luigi’s Mansion, and the ending to Galaxy with everyone getting sucked into a black hole and the lumas sacrificing themselves.

And I don’t get what you’re trying to say about the Wii U… Are you saying there were no dark games? Or that it was the only console with games that weren’t dark? Because both would be false.
