The Next Wolfenstein Game is Coming to Switch

Bethesda’s Pete Hines opened up to GameSpot about their approach to releasing games on Nintendo Switch. He confirmed something that will be music to Bethesda game fans on Switch: Every game moving forward is considered for Nintendo Switch from day 1.

Of course, this doesn’t mean every Bethesda game will be on Switch. He explained that Fallout 76 just isn’t possible and we heard last week from Bethesda that Elder Scrolls Online will also not be coming to Switch. So far, Switch has seen The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, Doom, and Wolfenstein 2: The New Order release on Switch with Doom Eternal and The Elder Scrolls: Legends also recently confirmed for the platform.

We now know another Bethesda game is coming to Switch, in the form of the next Wolfenstein game.

Hines teased that “the...

There Will be 151 Master Trainers in Pokemon Let’s Go Post Game

Looking for a challenge in the Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee games arriving next month? There is some extra challenged added to the post game that may entice some of you.

Eurogamer asked Musada and director of the game,
Kensaku Nabana, what happens in the post game. Here are their responses:

Kensaku Nabana: And also the postgame content as well, in particular the master trainiers – so these are trainers who are kind of the ultimate trainers of a specific Pokémon, so you will challenge them. So you will challenge them, and then get their title for that Pokémon, so you become the master of that Pokémon if you manage to beat them in battle.

Junichi Masuda: So for me, my favourite Pokémon is Psyduck, so I’d be training my Psyduck amazingly and then would challenge the Psydu...

Reggie Fils-Aime: Nintendo is an Entertainment Company

Reggie Fils-Aime spoke at the annual GeekWire Summit in Seattle and the focus was less about where Nintendo has been before and what they are doing moving forward, and more about trying to change the way Nintendo is perceived.

In short, he said Nintendo is an entertainment company, not a video game company. He sepearated things out into 3 specific tiers. One of them being the obvious video game space. The other, being the mobile gaming space. With the third being theme parks, movies, merchandise, and all that stuff in-between. He had more to say of course of some of these approaches:

That’s our vision for mobile: to deliver our intellectual property in compelling ways to consumers who may not have experienced those properties before...

Why Nintendo Has Never Been DOOMED: But So Many Want Them to Be

If you’ve been around the Nintendo community long enough, I am sure you have ran across the phrase “Nintendo is doomed”. Out of all of the negativity, criticism, hate, and anything else that can be lobbied towards a community or a company on the whole from detractors, naysayers, and even former fans of said products, it’s that one everlasting phrase.

It is often spoken out of sheer hilarity of a situation. No local voice chat on Switch? Nintendo is doomed! It is also spoken when folks don’t like the direction of things. Nintendo Switch has motion controls and is a tablet? Nintendo is Doomed! Sometimes, it’s out of an innate jealousy – Nintendo is Doomed, not because they actually are, but because you want them to be. That way, you get their games on your “superior” platform.

It’s a phra...

Batman: The Enemy Within Has Released on Switch Despite Controversy

Telltale Games announced they were closing their doors. They pulled the final season of The Walking Dead off of the eShop. They fired everyone but 25 employees. They treated their employees, reportedly, really bad and offered no severance. They are, apparently, bankrupt. They also, somehow, had random partners reach out of nowhere to maybe save the last two chapters of The Walking Dead‘s final season, despite firing all the staff that made the game special.

By all accounts, anything involving a once promising and growing studio is murky at best, downright horrifying at worse. Yet despite all of this, Batman: The Enemy Within, which was scheduled to release today – has. The game itself is a quality game, no doubt, and I am glad to have it...

Nintendo Switch is Getting its First “VR Headset”

At one point in time, Nintendo patented what apparead to be a VR headset for Nintendo Switch, suggesting they at least were exploring the possibility of doing VR on the platform. Rumors even circulated back in those days about Resident Evil 7 being brought to the system in VR. Of course, there were a lot of things that didn’t make it ideal, such as the fact that the screen is only 720p and true VR is best experienced in dedicated headsets, versus slapping a tablet into a headset.

Still, VR with mobile devices isn’t dead and is still supported by companies like Google and Samsung, so it’s definitely at least has a small market to mess around in. While Nintendo never brought their own headset to market, another company has decided to do just that.

Sure, it’s not the first headset compatible w...

Switch Online Pre-Paid Cards Are Selling Well in Japan

We don’t currently know what the actual subscription numbers are for Nintendo’s newly launched Nintendo Switch Online Service, but we know one major retailor with over 1000 locations in Japan is touting how well the pre-paid cards are selling for the service.

Tsutaya stores are claiming that the cards are selling well at every single location, with the 12 month card being the most popular, according to a representative for the company.

We aren’t really sure when, or if, we’ll hear about any official figures from Nintendo at this time in Japan, or world wide.
