Switch Has Officially Blown By Wii U, Mario Odyssey Over 9 Million – BIG SALES UPDATE

To say the Nintendo Switch did well in 2017 may be the understatement of the year so far. Early this morning Nintendo held their quarterly financial briefing with investors and like every prior meeting, we got a huge sales update for Switch and it’s associated games. In the video above I painstakingly go through all the data, but for those who don’t have time for the video, I’ll include a gallery of images showing sales updates for Switch and Switch titles below.

Some fun facts:

  • Mario Odyssey sold over 9 million units last year, which makes it a better selling title than any Wii U game.
  • Breath of the Wild is now the 2nd best selling Zelda game in history, moving 7.78 million units if you combine Wii U and Switch sales. It trails only Twilight Princess.
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is only 1 mil...

Tiny Metal Switch Review – A Good Game, But Controversial in Creation

The following is a transcript of the above video review, for those that wish to read the review rather than watch the video.

Ahh Yes, Tiny Metal. I first heard about this title roughly a month before it released as my interests was peaked looking for an indie alternative for Nintendo’s own Advance Wars, a franchise that hasn’t seen a new iteration since Days of Ruin in 2008 on the Nintendo DS. Having now been practically a decade since then, Tiny Metal seemed like the perfect title to scratch my itch of a war based tactical grid & turned based strategy game. It’s true of course that Fire Emblem offers some similar feelings in terms of game type, but having something based on military units was always something that appealed to me growing up.

Tiny Metal released on Nintendo Switch ...

Switch is Breaking Records in its First Year, but the Console is Somehow Doomed

“Too many remasters!” cry the fans. “No new games announced!” scream the naysayers. “Nintendo is doomed” has been a common theme of amateur critics across the Internet. Somehow, Nintendo’s brand new record breaking system, which has become the fastest selling console in a 10 month period almost globally, is doomed. Apparently, 2018 is the year Nintendo Switch will fail miserably. Despite the console’s many accolades and the fact it’s not even a year old yet, we’re 19 days into the new year and many are quick to discredit the company’s hybrid gaming system.

As far as I can tell, this sentiment re-appeared after the Nintendo Direct Mini on January 11th...
