This week on the Nintendo Prime Podcast, Nate and Eric are joined by FiveJay and GameOverJesse. We talk about where and how we play Nintendo Switch, continuing Switch’s success story, reacting to the NPD and Splatoon 2 taking the #1 software slot while Breath of the Wild shines bright, bundling games in with Switch in 2018, Sonic Mania’s rapid accent, and if fans could revive franchises that need help.

A Heated Mother 4 Debate | Nintendo Prime Podcast Ep. 30

We’re back… back again…. the Podcast is back…. tell a friend! This podcast is special for us for a number of reasons. Chief among those is it marks the debut of our new audio mixer! This is a massive upgrade for us in the studio over the virtual mixer as we could adjust the volumes on the microphones live as we recorded. We could also naturally mix the voices together in a much easier fashion than we could previously.

We hope you agree that there is a huge audio quality jump from our last podcast, as it’s something we are proud of! We want as pleasant of a listening experience as possible.

That all being said, this week on the podcast Nate and Eric are joined once again by FiveJayGaming to talk about a bevy of interesting stuff, including a heated debate on Mother 4 that truly came out of ...

Scenario – Convincing 3rd Parties to Support Switch – Nintendo Prime Podcast Ep. 29 (Part 4)

The technical issue galore episode, yup!

So, let’s dive into the issues, shall we? So – this week, after a 3 week hiatus, I fixed the issue that caused us to have a broken microphone. That means Eric and Nate are back together again with our own mics! Should be a great audio experience! Except… well… our “virtual mixer” we use to combine the mics into a single audio source screwed up after about an hour and 20 minutes, making the the final hour of the podcast unusable.

We have backup audio though, right? Sure, through the camera and while it’s not ideal, we can make it work! But… the camera itself died 20 minutes after the mic issue happened (unknown to us, btw. This is the downfall of not having someone behind the scene monitoring this stuff).

To make matters worse, Nate fo...

Random: Lil Yachty and Logic Playing Mario Kart 8 While on Stage

In the middle of a performance, Lil Yachty and Logic decide that they want to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch. They are also using the Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers for this match. I have so much admiration for these guys to actually play a game while they are performing. If you’re ever at a concert, then its okay for the band or singer to take out a Nintendo Switch and play some games. Just look at how excited the audience is to watch them play.
