June NPD Shows Promise for Switch Hardware & Software – Nintendo Prime Podcast (Part 2)

The technical issue galore episode, yup!

So, let’s dive into the issues, shall we? So – this week, after a 3 week hiatus, I fixed the issue that caused us to have a broken microphone. That means Eric and Nate are back together again with our own mics! Should be a great audio experience! Except… well… our “virtual mixer” we use to combine the mics into a single audio source screwed up after about an hour and 20 minutes, making the the final hour of the podcast unusable.

We have backup audio though, right? Sure, through the camera and while it’s not ideal, we can make it work! But… the camera itself died 20 minutes after the mic issue happened (unknown to us, btw. This is the downfall of not having someone behind the scene monitoring this stuff).

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age Coming to the West

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is coming to the west in 2018. There was no mention of what consoles it is releasing for but it is releasing in Japan this week for the PS4 and the 3DS.  Square Enix said there will be more info in Fall 2017.

Fire Emblem Heroes Celebrates 6 Month Anniversary With Various Updates

Fire Emblem Heroes just had a FEH Channel video showing their plans for Fire Emblem Heroes for the summer and their six month anniversary.

There is going to be a new Bound Hero Battle featuring Lilina and Celilia. You earn orbs when you beat them the first time at each difficulty. This will begin August 7.

For the next Grand Hero Battle, it will feature Valter. He is equipped with Curse Lance. Curse Lance is exclusive to this character. He will be available late August.

The next Tempest Trials event, Reunited At Last, will focus on Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. This will being August 11.

Tempest Trials will also have new features and changes. It will have continuous auto battle. Auto battle will last till you finish all maps or your team is defeated...

Reminder: New Nintendo 2DS XL, Hey Pikmin! and Miitopia to be Released Tomorrow

Nintendo hasn’t forgotten about the Nintendo 3DS with all the games releasing for the Switch this week. Nintendo is releasing the latest iteration to the Nintendo 3DS family with the New Nintendo 2DS XL. This is going to have the same features and controls as the New Nintendo 3DS XL just without the 3DS feature. This system will retail for $149.99.

Nintendo is also releasing Hey! Pikmin and Miitopia on the same date.  Both of the games currently have a demo available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. There will also be a new amiibo for Hey! Pikmin featuring the Pikmin. This amiibo will give you the ability to summon extra Pikmin for each stage.  The Olimar amiibo will also work with Hey! Pikmin.
